Congratulations to Teresa Grodsky!

Well Done!

I received a copy of an email the other day that I’d like to share with you.  It was dated June 21, 2012.  The body of the email says:

“Dear Teresa:

Congratulations!

You have been selected by the National Recreation and Park Association to receive the 2012 Distinguished Professional Award. The Distinguished Professional Award is presented to an individual who has made outstanding contributions to the field through their leadership, research, advocacy, community outreach, and program development. Eligible candidates must have at least 15 years of experience in the field of parks and recreation. The recipient of this award was submitted for national recognition through the Network Distinguished Professional Award. We commend you for your exceptional service in the field that has furthered the aims and values of parks and recreation.

You will be recognized and presented with this award at the upcoming NRPA Congress and Exposition in Anaheim, California on Wednesday, October 17, 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the Best of the Best Ceremony...”

A hardy well done indeed!

Too bad PRPD’s “Park Ridge Park District Senior Center” can no longer claim her as their own!

Of course, that’s just my opinion!

Best of luck to Teresa at SSI's new facility! I'm sure she'll run that facility with all the professionalism that this award recognizes her for..

The boys and girl wouldn't know good management even if it bit them on the ass! This recognition award is proof.

And I agree wholeheartedly. As long as I have known and observed you, I have admired your flexibility, integrity, and genuine positive interactions with the Seniors as you all developed a wonderful Senior Center.

Congrats.

The "Seniors" may be a protected class thanks to the Democrats but they're not disabled just because they're not young. This is so demeaning!
And Ken, for heaven's sake, get somebody who can write English to proofread for you. When you mean seniors, plural, it's "seniors." When you mean a single senior, possessive, it's "senior's" and when you mean seniors, plural, possessive, it's "seniors'" And it's a "hearty" not "hardy" well done. Sandee, help the guy out, will ya?
