I swear by my tattoo – Part Two

A few of days ago I posted: I swear by my tattoo – Part One.  I based that post on emails and supporting documents sent to me by PRPD Board Commissioner Rick Biagi, alleging misconduct, disloyalty and betrayal by a highly and nationally respected award winning professional, PRPD’s own 2009 Employee of the Year, recently retired Senior Center Manager, Teresa Grodsky and fellow Park District Commissioner Dr. Stephen Vile, a highly thought of member of the Park Ridge community.

Every time I think about this story I’m reminded of a 1958 movie with José Ferrer, “I Accuse!”  It’s a story of dishonor, alleged disloyalty, personal destruction, and betrayal.  All the qualities and attributes associated with this ongoing story.   Found this at Turner Classic Network.  Enjoy the clip!

Maybe we should also get Grodsky, Vile and Biagi's 8th Grade transcripts. I'm sure obtaining those would clear this whole mess up once and for all.

Any idea what Biagi's confirmation name is or where exactly Vile was born? I'm sure there is some clue hidden there as well.

My response: First of all, this situation is no joke. Real people, good people; are involved here and the lives of each has changed since Mr. Biagi’s January 3rd email and data dump.

The truth was, the PRPD/SSI/Senior Center epesode was over. Biagi and Wynn-Ryan got their “clubhouse” back and removed their last strategic obstacle, Ms. Grodsky.

In short, the issue was dead, the wake was held, the funeral was over and only the grieving remained.

Mr. Biagi waited until the day of the memorial service (Grodsky’s Going-Away Party) to hang the District's "dirty laundry".

Foolish? Yes! Ruthless? Possibly! Stupid? Undoubtedly! Thoughtless? What do you think? And why did he do it?

What could possess a man of his character, of his skills, stature and obvious potential, to act in this way? That same questions can and will be asked of the others as well. Biagi, Grodsky and Vile all had a lot to loose by their actions, yet they did what they did. They all leaked information. Why?

There’s a statement often attributed to Werner Erhard, the founder of EST that says: “Understanding why is the booby prize of life.” This is one of those times I look back at my EST experience and wander what the heck was I thinking? Of course, it’s not the booby prize of life if you wish to live in the real word. Real world living requires our understanding “why” so we may change ourselves, or reactions to others and not repeat the event. The community needs to know why! Only then can we put this story to bed!

Finally, sarcasm has a place and used effectively can really add to the dialogue; something you failed to do here. I suggest you keep your day job!

Are you suggesting that this all somehow relates to him being chairman of the fish fry for the Knights of Columbus???
